My Self-Care Secrets

Lately, I've been talking a lot about self-care and its importance when it comes to how we perceive and connect with ourselves sensually.

Self-care is the ultimate act of self love and a regular self-care routine will help you feel more grounded and connected to your body. I know from first-hand experience that building a self-care routine and sticking to it can lead to increased confidence and even better sex!

So where do I start? Here are 3 of my own personal secrets and resources for tapping into and connecting with your sensual self through self-care:

  1. Sensual Self-Care Rituals
    Your sensual self is essential to your wellbeing and deserves to be cared for too! In fact, healthy sensual self-care activities can release the body’s “love hormone” oxytocin, which is known to reduce stress and support sexual and psychological health.

  2. Build a Pleasure Practice Routine
    Just like you practice yoga and exercise, its helpful to build a few pleasure practices that you perform on a regular weekly or monthly basis.

    Start with your favorite self-care ritual and build up from there. For example, a few of my personal pleasure practices are:

    - take an erotic movement class monthly (i.e., pole fitness, Zouk, Salsa)
    - give myself a foot massage daily,
    - listen to an erotic short story on Dipsea weekly.

  3. Join a Self-Care Community
    Life gets BUSY. You're balancing so many things and so many people are relying on you. From the outside, everything is going fine. You're managing, right? But what about inside? Is the overwhelm taking over? Are you struggling to find work/life balance? A self-care community can help!

    Give up your "lone wolf" mentality and become part of a supportive community of amazing women who are up-leveling their self-care. Watch how quickly you can grow when you have the proper support!
